OUR MESSAGE
Our church has not always been called Condell Park Bible Church. When it started in 1938, it was called Condell Park Gospel Mission. As the name suggests its mission was to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Eighty years later we are still preaching the same message.
In summary, the Gospel is the good news that the just and gracious Creator of the universe has looked upon hopelessly sinful men and women and has sent His Son, Jesus Christ, God in the flesh, to bear His wrath against sin on the cross and to show His power over sin in the resurrection, so that everyone who turns from sin and self-righteousness and trusts in Jesus Christ as Saviour and Lord will be reconciled to God forever.
Put simply, the Gospel is good news that bad people can be saved through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ.
In two words, “Jesus Saves.”
When our first church building was erected, a neon sign was fitted to the ridge cap. Every night its message was clear for everyone to see: “Jesus Saves.”
Today the neon sign is gone, but the same message is now emblazoned on the front of the church; it is illuminated by a floodlight every night; it is proclaimed from the pulpit every Sunday; it is central to every ministry we conduct; it is the best news anyone could ever hear: “Jesus Saves!”
