What is the Gospel?

The Gospel is the message of God's plan and His work to save sinners from His wrath, and to bring them into a relationship with Himself through the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, and the offer of that rescue to all who will turn from sin and trust in Christ.

Do you use a particular Bible version?

We believe the Word of God has been providentially preserved in the Hebrew “Masoretic Text” and the Greek “Textus Receptus.” We use the King James Bible (Authorized Version) because it is a true, faithful and accurate translation of these providentially preserved Texts.

How do you interpret the Bible?

We hold to a literal interpretation of the Bible. We interpret the Bible literally, grammatically, historically, culturally and contextually.

What do you believe about the Lord’s Table (Communion)?

We believe the Lord’s Table was instituted by the Lord Jesus Christ to help believers remember His substitutionary death upon the cross for sinners.  As such it is a memorial and not a means of salvation.

What do you believe about baptism?

We believe baptism is an act of obedience for those who have trusted the Lord Jesus Christ for salvation and is by means of immersion, not sprinkling.

What do you believe about eternal security?

We believe in the eternal security of all believers in our Lord Jesus Christ. Once a lost sinner has become a “new creature” in Christ, he can never lose that new relationship in the family of God which is based upon Christ’s imputed righteousness and not his own.

What is your position on Creation?

We believe that God created the world is six literal days and not by means of evolution.

What is your position on Bible prophecy?

Our literal approach to Bible interpretation leads us to hold to the pre-millennial prophetic position. We believe that the church age will end with the Rapture followed by a literal seven-year tribulation, which culminates with the second advent of Christ and His literal thousand-year reign on earth.

What type of church government do you have?

We seek to follow the pattern set down in the Scriptures. Pastors/Elders are the spiritual leaders. Deacons are appointed to assist in the ministry with a particular emphasis on physical needs. Church members participate in all the major decisions.
